Paris, France

Landing in Paris we immediately dropped off our bags at The Hoxton Hotel, which in itself is a stunning building with a restaurant inside and a beautiful interior. We then made our way through the streets of Paris stopping at a few cafés, shops, but really just taking in all the unique architecture of every single building.

While we didn’t make it into The Louvre, we still wanted to check out the exterior along with Jardin des Tuileries, Jardin du Palais-Royal and Domaine National du Palais-Royal which is a cultural landmark that has Daniel Buren’s striped columns in the courtyard below.

Day two totaled over 30,000 steps around the city. Starting off at the Musée d'Orsay, which has my favorite artist Claude Monet. This beautiful building use to be an old train station, which is now filled with the most exquisite pieces of French Art and History inside.

Le Jardin du Luxembourg was the next stop on our walk to the Eiffel Tower and it did not disappoint. There’s just something about Parisian Gardens that are so special.

Walking along The Seine we made our way to the Eiffel Tower and stopping in shops and cafés along the way. Le Malabar was definitely a favorite for the espresso martini, meats/cheese board and the people watching over looking the Eiffel Tower on Rue Saint-Dominque.

Cafés, restaurants, + bars to check out:

- Passage Des Panoramas was a hidden gem of a secret covered alleyway of shops and food

- Rue Cadet for lots of places to choose from

- Faubourg 34

- Le Malabar (bar pictured above)

- Café de Flore

- À la Mère de Famille for sweets and chocolate

- Monbleu Faubourg Montmartre

- Café Le Brebant

- Pierre Hermé

-Chez Francis

One of my favorite moments was coming across an artist doing 10 minutes drawings next to the Eiffel Tower and lucked out that he just finished up a drawing as we walked by so I hopped down for him to capture this stunning portrait. Head over to Trocadéro Gardens for sunset photos of the Eiffel Tower and don’t forget that the lights only go on the first 5 minutes of every hour from dusk to dawn so be ready to snap those shots!

Our last day we stopped at Faubourg 34 for lunch before walking around the most beautiful shopping center I have ever laid my eyes on called the Galeries Lafayette. Lastly, landing at Café Le Brebant for an espresso martini before our flight home!
