FAQs

What is the dress attire?

Black-Tie optional

For example… men should wear a tuxedo, but don’t worry if that is not an option, a black suit or formal suit is perfect.

For women… this should be a floor length gown or an elevated cocktail style dress, usually below the knee. It’s summer, have fun with colors, this does not mean you have to wear black! Tip… drinks reception is partially located in the gardens with walking paths, so be mindful of what type of heels you wear!

August in Ireland is averaging at mid 60s to 70s.

Taxi vs. Parking vs. Shuttle?

We will have a shuttle bus for guests at the two main hotels to bring you to the ceremony, as well as back to the hotels. If you wish to drive, there is a parking lot at Killruddery. Cars can be left overnight in their lot. If you decide to use a taxi, the venue recommends reserving beforehand as it is a small town!

Are children welcome?

Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only affair as we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to limited numbers. We are happy to give you any information about nearby accommodation.

Is there a gifts registry?

As we do not have a gifts registry, we have set up a honeymoon fund if you do wish to contribute there. Most of all we are looking forward to celebrating with everyone.

Thank you kindly!

Travellers

Airport

We recommend flying into the Dublin Airport

Transportation

Public transport is very easy in Ireland. The DART Train goes into Bray (Daly) and you can get a 6 to 14 minute taxi from there to the venue/hotels. (Download the apps: Iarnrod Eireann-Irish Rail & Dublin Bus)

Taxis are also a good way to get around, as well as using the app: FREE NOW

We also recommend renting a car from the airport if you plan on traveling around. Our venue/hotels are about a 40 minute drive from the airport or the City of Dublin.
